Your farmers

Paul and Timothy Klopp are Fifth and Sixth Generation Father & Son farming together between Lake Huron and the Village of Zurich in Southwestern Ontario. Seventh Generation ‘Farmer In-Training’ Carson Klopp, is Timothy’s Son and already has a keen interest in continuing the Family Business.

When COVID-19 shut down the schools after Spring Break, Carson was pretty content to be able to spend his days outside. It was Homeschool Farm Style! He enjoys spending time with both his Dad and Grandpa Paul, learning how to be a steward of the land.

Paul’s wife Heather, works full-time off of the farm in Health Administration at a local Community Health Centre and Hospital, but for many years helped to lay the foundations of the family business, alongside Paul and her in-laws.

“We’re working with the land and our animals to produce high quality products.”

Jocelyn is the wife of Timothy, and an integral part of the farm operation. She wears many hats, from HR to meal delivery service during the busy field seasons, and can do every job in between. If you’re seeing her at the Market, there is a good chance that their two girls, Brinley and Andie are tagging along as well.  Brinley enjoys being able to handle cash and packing up customer purchases. Andie started going to Markets at just 1 week old, so we know she won’t be far behind big sister.

Heidi is sister to Timothy and lives close by to the Home Farm with her Husband, Adam and son Keiran. She manages the social media/online presence and travels to Farmers Market locations for CVA. The bulk of her time is spent working as a Health Promoter, coaching Figure Skating and volunteering on local committees in the Community. The farm life was always something she enjoyed, and is excited to be able to combine a passion for health and wellness with the Family Business.

Diane is Paul’s sister and is affectionately known as ‘Aunt Diane’ to everyone. She was a big part of CVA starting to go into Farmer’s Market after making a move back to Huron County from Barrie. She recognized the opportunity to get our products out to local customers. If you have ever picked up a meat order from “The Freezer” during Curbside Pick up that was initiated during COVID-19 or shopped at the Grand Bend Village Farmers Market, you have chatted with her at some point. Diane represents CVA on the Board of Directors for the Grand Bend Village and Bayfield Farmers Markets.
